Mold Inspection:

Never decide if home has a mold problem based soley on just lab analysis.
Mold Report should include, scope of work, documentation of suspect conditions, possible source identification with photos and Infrared photos also recommendations for corrections based on accepted national industry standards.
$1,000,000.00 E&O for mold assessment required in new Florida mold law.

The new Florida home inspection and mold law will require insurance.

Once he is approved by the national board of the American Indoor Air Quality Council he will be the "only" home inspector within 100 miles of Fort Myers / Naples certified as an Indoor Environmentalist.

There are only 19 Certified Indoor Environmentalist's in Southwest Florida.

Extensive training, minimum 2 years experience and approval by national board are required to become an Certified Indoor Environmentalist.

468.84 Legislative purpose.-

The Legislature finds it necessary in the

interest of the public safety and welfare, to prevent damage to the real and personal property, to avert economic injury to the residents of this state, and to regulate persons and companies that hold themselves out to the public as qualified to perform mold-related services.

468.8419 Prohibitions; penalties.-

(1) A mold assessor, a company that employs a mold assessor, or a company that is controlled by a company that also has a financial interest in a company employing a mold assessor may not:

(d) Perform or offer to perform any mold remediation to a structure on

which the mold assessor or the mold assessor's company provided a mold assessment within the last 12 months.
